Special Operations
Division
The Special Operations Division is comprised of four officers.
Officers Hudson and Guest are assigned to the city schools as
School Resource Officers. Sgt. Adams is the departments
training officer and Lt. Holladay is the code enforcement officer for
the department.
Sgt. Adams is the departments Citizens Police Academy
coordinator. For information about the police academy, contact

The Hartselle Police Department’s two certified School Resource Officers
work full time in the Hartselle City School system. They are a liaison
between the school system and the police department. The S.R.O.'s
conduct Too Good For Drugs and Too Good For Violence programs in
the middle school and high school and give numerous talks to youth
groups. They also conduct a Junior Police Academy during the summer
for at risk youth.
The training officer was developed in
2005. He is responsible for developing
monthly in-service training for the
department and scheduling APOST
continuing education hours for each
officer and maintaining records for them.
